Key responsibilities include planning and coordinating processing and manufacturing programme components. In addition, the role will supervise the establishment of shared processing hubs and manufacturing clusters. The coordinator will conduct enterprise diagnostics and support SMEs to address compliance and equipment needs. The role will also facilitate the implementation of quality assurance frameworks such as Good Manufacturing Practices and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point standards. Furthermore, it will promote environmentally sustainable and energy efficient processing technologies.

The coordinator will collaborate with regulatory agencies including the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, the Standards Organisation of Nigeria and the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service. The goal is to support product registration and regulatory compliance. The role also involves representing the programme in consortium meetings, stakeholder engagements, and technical working groups.

Applicants should have strong experience in agro processing, food safety, manufacturing or enterprise development with proven ability to support SME competitiveness and value chain development. Experience managing donor funded projects and working with regulatory standards within Nigeria’s food system is highly desirable.
