Job Summary

GAIN is recruiting a Programme Lead to provide strategic, technical, and portfolio level leadership for a multi stakeholder consortium programme focused on creating dignified and fulfilling work for Nigerian youth under 35 across agrifood value chains. The programme prioritizes young women, persons with disabilities, and internally displaced persons. The Programme Lead will provide overall direction, oversee programme delivery, strengthen partnerships, and position GAIN as the lead organization within the consortium.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership for programme design, evolution, and implementation in line with organizational strategy and donor expectations

Define and drive programme scope, objectives, and delivery model

Identify and manage strategic risks, opportunities, and innovations

Provide oversight to zonal coordination teams and partner organizations to ensure harmonized delivery

Oversee project implementation and provide strategic guidance to partners and internal teams

Lead safeguarding, risk management, and environmental compliance across the programme

Represent GAIN within the consortium and engage government and state level stakeholders

Lead and manage a high performing cross functional programme team

Requirements

Master’s degree in Agriculture Agribusiness Development Studies Economics Management or a related field

Postgraduate training or certification in Project or Programme Management is an added advantage

Extensive senior level experience in multi partner or consortium development programmes

Strong experience managing donor funded projects including grants budgets and compliance

Proven ability to lead multi disciplinary teams and deliver large scale programmes

Experience working with government private sector and donor agencies on multi state or national programmes
