The Zireenza Support Foundation (ZSF) is a national non-governmental organization (NGO) that operates as a not-for-profit and non-socio-political entity committed to community development and humanitarian support. Established on 8th August 2017 during a general meeting held in Mubi North Local Government Area of Adamawa State, the foundation was created through the collective efforts of community members, stakeholders, and prominent individuals from Mubi, Michika, and surrounding areas.
ZSF was founded with the aim of addressing pressing socio-economic challenges affecting rural and underserved communities. The organization focuses on promoting unity, understanding, and collaboration among community members by encouraging inclusive discussions and participatory decision-making. Through its initiatives, ZSF seeks to empower individuals, improve livelihoods, and foster sustainable development at the grassroots level. Over the years, the organization has been involved in various programs related to education, health awareness, environmental sustainability, and community resilience.

Job Description
Successful candidates will work closely with project teams to support ongoing activities aimed at strengthening climate resilience and community engagement. Volunteers will play a key role in implementing grassroots initiatives, interacting with beneficiaries, and ensuring effective communication between the organization and the communities it serves.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in organizing and executing community outreach and awareness campaigns
- Support the planning and facilitation of training sessions, workshops, and stakeholder meetings
- Participate in field activities, including surveys and data collection exercises
- Help document project activities, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records
- Engage with community leaders and beneficiaries to promote participation and feedback
- Provide administrative and logistical support where necessary
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Candidates should possess an NCE, OND, or HND in a relevant field
- A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience is an added advantage
Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural and social backgrounds
- Basic computer literacy and understanding of reporting tools
- Knowledge of community engagement practices and sectoral representation is desirable
Experience:
- Previous volunteer or community-based work experience will be highly beneficial
Other Requirements:
- Demonstrated commitment to humanitarian and development goals
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and work in dynamic environments
- Flexibility, teamwork, and a proactive attitude
Remuneration
This is primarily an unpaid volunteer position; however, selected candidates may receive a stipend or transport allowance to support their participation. Additionally, volunteers will gain valuable field experience, professional exposure, and the opportunity to build networks within the development sector.
