Smart Aid Initiative is inviting applications from qualified consultants to lead the development of its first five-year strategic plan.
This is an opportunity to support a youth- and women-led organisation working to advance quality education, civic participation, and digital equity across Nigeria.

ABOUT THE ASSIGNMENT
Smart Aid Initiative is seeking an experienced strategic planning consultant to lead the organisation through the development of its first five-year strategic plan.
The successful consultant will be expected to facilitate a strategic planning process that translates ideas, priorities, organisational goals, and stakeholder perspectives into a clear and practical strategic plan that can guide the organisation’s next phase of growth and development.
The consultant should have a strong understanding of strategic planning within the NGO and development sector, as well as proven experience facilitating participatory planning processes and producing high-quality strategic documents that can be effectively used by organisational leadership and boards.
WHAT SMART AID INITIATIVE IS LOOKING FOR
Applicants should have:
At least 5 years of experience supporting NGOs with strategic planning.
Strong workshop facilitation skills and demonstrated experience facilitating strategic planning sessions.
A proven track record of successfully completing at least two strategic planning assignments.
Experience translating stakeholder discussions, organisational priorities, and ideas into clear strategic plans.
Strong understanding of the NGO and development sector.
Ability to work collaboratively with organisational leadership and relevant stakeholders.
Strong analytical, writing, communication, and facilitation skills.
