🌍 About the Role
The Programme Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of Health and Nutrition programmes, ensuring projects are delivered effectively, on time, and in line with donor and organizational standards.
This role involves overseeing staff, budgets, logistics, and partnerships, while providing strategic leadership to address malnutrition and public health challenges in the region.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
📌 Programme Management & Implementation
- Lead the full project cycle for nutrition and health programmes
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements and organizational standards
- Develop and implement project work plans and operational strategies
- Conduct needs assessments and support evidence-based programming
📊 Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Oversee data collection systems across supported health facilities
- Analyze programme performance and provide timely reports
- Ensure accurate donor reporting and documentation
👥 Team Leadership & Capacity Building
- Supervise and mentor programme teams
- Identify training needs and organize capacity-building sessions
- Lead recruitment processes in collaboration with HR
- Conduct performance evaluations and staff development plans
🤝 Coordination & Representation
- Represent the organization in coordination meetings with government and partners
- Strengthen collaboration with State and LGA health authorities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
📈 Strategy & Programme Development
- Contribute to proposal writing and programme design
- Develop context-specific strategies to address malnutrition
- Ensure integration with other sectors like WASH, Food Security, and Mental Health
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Nursing, Midwifery, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong experience in public health and IMAM programming
- Excellent report-writing and data analysis skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Fluency in English and Hausa
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in challenging and insecure environments
