Project Driver

Job Summary
The Project Driver will support field operations by ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient transportation of project staff, visitors, and materials.
This role also includes maintaining assigned vehicles in optimal condition and supporting logistics and field activities.
Key Responsibilities
Driving & Logistics
- Provide safe and reliable transport for staff and visitors
- Deliver documents and project materials
- Support field monitoring activities
Vehicle Maintenance
- Ensure vehicle is always in excellent working condition
- Conduct routine checks (oil, tyres, brakes, cleaning)
- Arrange for repairs and servicing when needed
- Maintain fuel usage and vehicle logs
Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all vehicle documents are valid and up to date (insurance, logs, etc.)
- Follow organizational travel policies and procedures
- Maintain records for fleet management
Safety & Security
- Apply defensive driving techniques at all times
- Follow safety protocols in case of accidents
- Support basic security risk mitigation during field activities
Operational Support
- Assist in office relocation and logistics
- Support meetings, conferences, and field events
- Maintain professionalism with staff, visitors, and stakeholders
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of Secondary School Certificate, ND, or HND
- Valid Driver’s License (Class B or D)
- At least 3 years driving experience, especially in Lagos or similar environments
- Good knowledge of road safety and defensive driving
