Catholic Relief Services (CRS), the official international humanitarian agency of the Catholic community in the United States, is currently recruiting qualified Nigerian professionals for multiple positions in Maiduguri. CRS operates in over 100 countries, delivering impactful programs in emergency response, health, agriculture, education, microfinance, WASH, and peacebuilding. The organization is committed to safeguarding vulnerable populations and welcomes individuals from diverse backgrounds who are passionate about humanitarian service.

All roles are on-site in Maiduguri, Borno State, and are open to Nigerian nationals only.

Open Positions

1. Program Manager I – Nutrition
This role involves leading the design and implementation of nutrition programs aimed at improving the health and well-being of vulnerable populations. The Program Manager will oversee project planning, ensure quality delivery, manage partnerships, and support monitoring and evaluation efforts. The position requires strong leadership, program management experience, and technical expertise in nutrition and public health.

2. Senior Project Officer – WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene)
The Senior Project Officer will support the planning and execution of WASH interventions, ensuring access to safe water, improved sanitation, and hygiene promotion in target communities. The role includes coordinating field activities, supervising implementation, and ensuring compliance with CRS and donor standards. Experience in WASH programming and community engagement is essential.

3. Project Officer – Food Assistance
This position focuses on the delivery of food assistance programs to vulnerable households. The Project Officer will coordinate distributions, monitor beneficiary targeting, and ensure efficient and transparent implementation. The role requires strong organizational skills and experience in humanitarian food security programming.

4. Project Officer – Cash and Asset Transfer (CAT)
The CAT Project Officer will manage cash-based interventions and livelihood support programs aimed at improving household resilience. Responsibilities include coordinating cash transfers, supporting asset-building initiatives, and ensuring proper tracking and reporting of program outcomes. Experience in cash programming or economic strengthening initiatives is highly desirable.
