Malaria Consortium, a leading international non-profit organization specializing in the prevention, control, and treatment of malaria and other communicable diseases, is recruiting Digital Health Technical Assistants to support large-scale health campaigns across Nigeria.

Job Title: Digital Health Technical Assistant
Locations: Abuja (FCT), Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kebbi, Kogi, Nasarawa, Oyo, Plateau, Sokoto, Zamfara
Duration: July – December 2026

Role Overview
The Digital Health Technical Assistants will provide technical support for digital tools used in health campaign implementation. They will train users, troubleshoot issues, and ensure efficient use of digital platforms during all campaign phases. Each assistant will serve as a key focal point for assigned states, working under the supervision of the Digital Health Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support training and capacity building for state teams and field staff on digital tools.
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support during campaign implementation.
  • Troubleshoot application, device, and dashboard-related issues.
  • Monitor programme data, generate reports, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Assist in configuring devices and ensuring system readiness before campaign rollout.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and SOPs.
  • Support GIS-based tracking and identification of uncovered locations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years post-qualification experience.
  • At least 3 years hands-on programming experience (JavaScript, Python, PHP, or Java).
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, Git, APIs, and mobile frameworks (e.g., React, Node.js, Laravel).
  • Experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and data tools (KoboCollect, SurveyCTO, etc.).
  • Proven ICT troubleshooting, GIS, and digital health implementation experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Must own an Android smartphone and a functional laptop.

Core Competencies

  • Strong data analysis, scripting, and reporting skills (Python, SQL).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and training facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to ethical and secure data practices.
