🩺 Role Overview

The Medical Doctor will provide high-quality outpatient and inpatient care in line with MSF protocols and universal hygiene standards. The role focuses on improving patient outcomes, particularly for vulnerable populations, including children with severe acute malnutrition (SAM).

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• Conduct consultations, diagnose illnesses, and prescribe treatment
• Monitor patient progress and manage admissions, discharges, and referrals
• Participate in ward rounds, emergency care, and clinical decision-making
• Ensure compliance with MSF medical protocols and infection prevention standards
• Supervise and support medical and paramedical teams
• Collect, analyze, and report epidemiological and patient data
• Engage in training, mentoring, and continuous quality improvement
• Collaborate with Ministry of Health teams and referral hospitals
• Support TB screening and nutrition-related care activities

Requirements

• Medical Doctor degree (Tropical Medicine is an added advantage)
• Minimum of 2 years clinical experience
• Fluency in English and Hausa
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and adaptability
