Solidarités International SI is recruiting for the position of WASH Activity Manager in Monguno Borno State Nigeria.
Solidarités International is an international humanitarian organization with over 40 years of experience providing assistance to populations affected by conflicts and natural disasters. The organization focuses on water sanitation hygiene food security and livelihoods while maintaining a zero tolerance policy against abuse exploitation and corruption.
The WASH Activity Manager will be responsible for implementing and achieving project objectives as defined in operational plans. The role includes supervising WASH teams ensuring quality implementation of activities and proposing adjustments to improve program effectiveness.
Key responsibilities include participating in project design diagnostics and planning overseeing implementation and monitoring activities ensuring compliance with operational strategies and donor requirements and supporting team capacity development. The role also involves preparing activity plans supervising field operations managing logistics coordination and ensuring monitoring tools and indicators are properly applied.
The manager will handle reporting documentation communication with stakeholders and representation of the organization in meetings with government authorities donors and partner agencies. Additional duties include team management training staff ensuring safety compliance and maintaining effective coordination within the organization.
Candidates must have a bachelors or masters degree in civil engineering water or sanitation engineering geology or hydrology. A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role and at least 3 years in the humanitarian sector is required along with experience in borehole drilling and project implementation. Proficiency in CAD software and Microsoft Office is essential. Fluency in English is required and knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
