CALL FOR FACILITATORS

Kambiya Development Initiative (KDI) is seeking experienced and passionate facilitators to support a youth-led capacity-building programme focused on education and health rights in North-East Nigeria.

The opportunity is part of the 12-month project titled “Voices from the Camps: Youth-Led Evidence & Advocacy for Education and Health Rights in North-East Nigeria,” running from August 2026 to July 2027.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The project works with 30 young leaders across six locations in Borno and Yobe States to strengthen their capacity to generate evidence, engage communities and advocate for improved education and health rights.

KDI is recruiting facilitators to lead a capacity-building training programme scheduled for September 2026.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE REQUIRED

KDI is looking for facilitators with experience in one or more of the following areas:

  1. Training and workshop facilitation
  2. Safeguarding and protection
  3. Participatory research
  4. Community engagement
  5. KoboToolbox, ODK and digital data collection
  6. Policy literacy
  7. Advocacy
  8. Monitoring and Evaluation

FACILITATOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Selected facilitators will be expected to:

  1. Deliver engaging and participatory training sessions.
  2. Facilitate learning activities for young leaders.
  3. Provide technical guidance in their area of expertise.
  4. Support practical exercises and participatory learning.
  5. Mentor and encourage youth leaders throughout the programme.
  6. Contribute to building the participants’ skills in research, advocacy, safeguarding, data collection and programme monitoring.

The project will involve working with 30 youth leaders across the six locations.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

The opportunity is suitable for experienced facilitators, trainers, researchers, development practitioners and technical specialists who have relevant experience in youth development, community engagement, safeguarding, research, advocacy, digital data collection or Monitoring and Evaluation.

Applicants should demonstrate strong facilitation skills and a genuine interest in supporting youth-led community development and evidence-based advocacy.
