🧾 Role Overview

The Project Assistant (AVM) will support the implementation of protection and migration-related interventions, particularly for vulnerable migrants and returnees. The role involves case management, coordination with stakeholders, and field-level support to ensure effective service delivery.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day project implementation and reporting
  • Assist in case management (screening, interviews, referrals, counselling)
  • Coordinate family tracing and reunification (FTR) for vulnerable migrants
  • Facilitate temporary shelter and reintegration support
  • Liaise with IOM units, NGOs, and government partners
  • Participate in protection clusters and coordination meetings
  • Conduct field visits and monitor reintegration activities
  • Prepare progress reports and documentation

📌 Requirements

🎓 Education

  • Degree in International Relations, Social Sciences, Law, Migration Studies, Humanitarian Affairs, or related field

💼 Experience

  • Minimum 2 years (degree holders) or 3 years (diploma holders)
  • Experience in migration, protection, GBV, or humanitarian work preferred
  • Experience working with government, NGOs, or international organizations

🧠 Skills

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and reporting skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

🗣️ Languages

  • Fluency in English (required)
  • Working knowledge of Hausa or local language (required)
