Women and Children Health Empowerment Foundation (WACHEF) is a Nigerian NGO focused on improving access to equitable, sustainable and quality healthcare and social services for vulnerable populations, particularly women and children.
For this position, the Project Coordinator will support the implementation of a clubfoot programme across Adamawa, Benue and Taraba States, working in line with project objectives and MiracleFeet guidelines.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement detailed project work plans and timelines.
- Coordinate clubfoot programme activities across the three states.
- Oversee day-to-day project operations and timely delivery of interventions.
- Identify operational risks, delays and challenges and recommend mitigation measures.
- Ensure availability of materials, consumables and equipment for training and clubfoot clinics.
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual programme reports.
- Organize community awareness campaigns on clubfoot and available treatment.
- Collaborate with government officials, community leaders, health facilities and other stakeholders.
- Coordinate training for healthcare professionals on clubfoot diagnosis and treatment.
- Monitor trained healthcare workers and ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Establish referral pathways for early diagnosis and treatment.
- Facilitate access to free or subsidized treatment for affected children.
- Oversee patient follow-up and rehabilitation services.
- Monitor quality of care provided under the programme.
- Track project goals, milestones and implementation challenges.
- Analyse programme data and recommend improvements.
- Advocate for integration of clubfoot treatment into state healthcare systems.
- Promote local ownership and sustainability of the programme.
- Support the Finance Officer with expense reports and brace inventory reports.
