ABOUT THE ROLE
The successful candidate will lead day to day project management, programme delivery and stakeholder engagement across complex, multi partner engagements.
The role requires a professional who can combine strong project governance and organisational discipline with practical, hands on delivery. The Senior Project Manager will work closely with technical and field teams to ensure that activities remain on track and delivery challenges are addressed effectively.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will coordinate project and programme activities across multiple partners and stakeholders.
The role will involve managing project governance processes, maintaining project documentation, monitoring risks and maintaining relevant trackers and governance calendars.
The Senior Project Manager will also work closely with technical and field teams to move activities forward, troubleshoot delivery challenges and support effective programme implementation.
The position requires strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with corporates, government institutions, NGOs, donors and other partners.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Candidates should have 7 to 10 years of experience in project or programme management.
Experience within donor funded programmes, multi stakeholder environments or public private partnership settings is highly relevant.
Consulting experience is highly preferred.
Applicants should demonstrate experience coordinating multiple institutional partners, including corporates, government agencies, NGOs and donors.
Candidates should have a proven track record of working closely with technical and field teams to implement activities and resolve delivery challenges.
Strong organisational and documentation skills are required, with the ability to manage risk logs, project trackers and governance calendars effectively.
Applicants should have working knowledge of project management tools and methodologies such as MS Project, Asana, PMI and PRINCE2.
The successful candidate must also be willing to travel to field and programme locations when required.
