About the Fellowship
The CcHUB Instructional Design Fellowship is a 24-month immersive talent development programme designed to build a pipeline of Instructional Designers to support EdTech startups across Africa. Fellows will receive structured hands-on training and real-world startup experience in instructional design, product management, and quality assurance.
Fellowship Structure
18 weeks of intensive learning delivered in three learning sprints
66 weeks of hands-on support to EdTech startups under the Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Design and Learning Experience
Design learner-centered curriculum and digital learning content
Define learning objectives and learning pathways
Develop learning activities, assessments, and digital learning assets
Adapt content for online and blended learning environments
Product Management Support
Support user research and usability testing
Document user needs and product requirements
Participate in sprint planning and product reviews
Collect and apply user feedback for product improvement
Quality Assurance and Testing
Test learning platforms and content for usability issues and bugs
Review instructional content for clarity and learning outcomes
Document and report issues to product and engineering teams
Support quality standards and continuous improvement
Who Can Apply
Entry-level instructional designers
Preferably NYSC corps members who studied Education
Strong interest in education, technology, and social impact
Willingness to learn and work across multiple functions
Good communication, collaboration, and attention to detail
