1. Sortex Machine Operator

Department: Operations
Location: Dawanau, Kano State
Employment Type: Full-time
Pay Range: ₦200,000 – ₦300,000

Job Summary

The Sortex Machine Operator will operate, monitor, and maintain the sorting (Sortex) machine to ensure accurate separation of defective, discolored, or foreign materials from finished products. The role focuses on high-quality output, minimal wastage, and smooth machine operation.

Key Responsibilities
• Operate Sortex/color sorting machines efficiently and set parameters per product specifications.
• Monitor machine performance and adjust as necessary.
• Ensure accurate sorting based on color, size, and defects; remove defective materials.
• Perform routine cleaning, maintenance, and report faults to the maintenance team.
• Achieve daily production targets while minimizing wastage and downtime.
• Maintain proper documentation of production output.
• Follow all safety procedures, maintain hygiene, and use PPE.
• Maintain machine logs and support audits/inspections.

Requirements & Qualifications
• Minimum OND/Technical certification.
• At least 4 years of experience operating Sortex or similar machines.
• Knowledge of food processing and seed/grain/rice/cashew sorting is an advantage.
• Ability to read and understand machine manuals.
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
• Willingness to work in shifts.

2. Senior Human Resource Executive & Admin (HR Generalist)

Job Summary

The Senior HR Executive will manage and execute core HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, policy implementation, and compliance with labor laws. The role requires a proactive individual to support management, enhance employee engagement, and ensure efficient HR operations.

Key Responsibilities
• Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage recruitment, screening, interviews, onboarding, and manpower planning.
• Employee Relations & Engagement: Handle grievances, promote positive culture, support conflict resolution.
• Performance Management: Implement appraisal systems, monitor employee performance, support managers in goal setting.
• Training & Development: Identify training needs, organize programs, and track effectiveness.
• HR Policies & Compliance: Implement HR policies, ensure labor law compliance, maintain employee records.
• Compensation & Benefits: Support payroll, manage benefits, conduct salary benchmarking.
• HR Reporting & Administration: Prepare HR reports, maintain files, support audits and internal reviews.

Requirements & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant HR experience (preferably in manufacturing).
• Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive matters with confidentiality.
• Proficient in MS Office and HR management systems.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
