Evidence Action Recruitment 2026: Field Enumerator (SQ-LNS Talent Pool – Remote, Nigeria)

Evidence Action, a global nonprofit organization known for delivering data-driven health interventions at scale, is currently building a Talent Pool for Field Enumerators to support Monitoring, Learning, and Evaluation (MLE) activities under its Small-Quantity Lipid-Based Nutrient Supplements (SQ-LNS) Program in Nigeria.

Operating across 11 countries and reaching over 500 million people, Evidence Action works closely with governments to implement proven, research-backed interventions that improve health outcomes and reduce poverty.

Position: Field Enumerator (Talent Pool)

Location: Remote (Nigeria)
Employment Type: Part-time (Short-term assignments)
Function: Monitoring, Learning & Evaluation (MLE)

About the Role

Field Enumerators will support the implementation of SQ-LNS program activities by collecting high-quality data from health facilities and stakeholders. The information gathered will contribute to program monitoring, decision-making, and continuous improvement.

Eligible Locations

Applicants must reside in one of the following states:

Adamawa, Bauchi, Gombe, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Kebbi, Plateau, or Sokoto

Candidates should have strong familiarity with local communities and languages within their state of residence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in survey training sessions and pilot exercises
  • Conduct health facility assessments using digital data collection tools
  • Administer interviews with healthcare workers and facility staff
  • Review registers, service delivery records, and program documentation
  • Collect data on commodity availability, referrals, and service performance
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of collected data
  • Submit daily reports and address data quality issues promptly
  • Adhere to ethical standards, safeguarding policies, and confidentiality requirements
  • Support field coordination and logistics with stakeholders
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors

Performance Expectations

  • Achieve at least 95% coverage of assigned facilities
  • Ensure timely and error-free daily data submission
  • Maintain compliance with survey protocols and ethical standards
  • Complete assigned activities within agreed timelines
  • Demonstrate low error rates and pass quality checks
  • Participate fully in training and field deployment activities

Requirements

  • Minimum of OND, HND, or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Prior experience in surveys or data collection is required
  • Basic knowledge of healthcare systems is an advantage
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and local languages
  • Familiarity with digital data tools such as ODK, KoboToolbox, SurveyCTO, or CommCare
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Working Conditions

  • Frequent travel within assigned states and LGAs
  • Extensive fieldwork, including visits to rural and hard-to-reach areas
  • Possible overnight stays and extended working hours during survey periods
  • Work in diverse and sometimes challenging environments
