Data Entry Operator

Main Purpose
The Data Entry Operator will be responsible for collecting, entering, and managing medical data in the mission database. The role ensures accuracy, confidentiality, and timely reporting to support healthcare teams in making informed decisions.

Reporting Line
- Hierarchical: Project Manager
- Functional: Technical Manager – Medical, MEAL Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Enter and update patient clinical and demographic data
- Ensure all data entries are authorized, accurate, and complete
- Identify and correct data errors and inconsistencies
- Compile and manage data from INTERSOS and partner health facilities
- Track and retrieve missing data records
- Maintain and update patient files regularly
- Perform routine data backups and documentation
- Prepare statistical and medical reports
- Ensure strict confidentiality of patient information
- Maintain a clean and organized data recording environment
🎓
Requirements
📚 Education
- BA/BSc in a relevant field OR equivalent experience in MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning)
💼 Professional Experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience in data management within an NGO
- Experience in health data management is an added advantage
🛠️ Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel
- Ability to learn and use data management software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
