Role Summary
The Hospital Manager will provide strategic leadership and administrative oversight, ensuring the seamless coordination of all hospital departments. The role requires a blend of clinical administrative expertise, financial prudence, and strong people-management skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding high standards of patient care while maintaining the financial and operational health of the facility.
Key Responsibilities
• Operational Leadership: Provide overall coordination of hospital activities, ensuring smooth daily operations across all clinical and non-clinical departments.
• Policy & Strategy: Implement hospital policies, procedures, and strategic plans in full alignment with national healthcare regulations and global best practices.
• Human Resource Management: Oversee staff supervision, scheduling, performance evaluations, and capacity-building initiatives to ensure a motivated and efficient workforce.
• Financial Oversight: Manage hospital budgets, monitor cost control measures, optimize revenue streams, and prepare detailed financial reports for management.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the facility adheres to all relevant healthcare laws, accreditation standards, and statutory requirements.
• Quality Assurance: Lead initiatives to improve patient safety, service quality, and clinical outcomes through continuous monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Facility & Logistics: Oversee procurement, inventory control, equipment maintenance, and general facility management to ensure a safe and functional environment.
• Stakeholder Relations: Act as the primary liaison for medical consultants, vendors, regulatory bodies, and external partners.
• Patient Experience: Handle patient relations, manage complaint resolution processes, and drive continuous improvement in the overall patient experience.
Candidate Requirements
• Educational Background: A Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BSc) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Professional Experience: 5 – 8 years of proven experience in hospital management or senior healthcare administration.
• Skills: Exceptional leadership, analytical, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in financial management and an in-depth understanding of healthcare regulatory frameworks are essential.
