About the Programme
The Global Cleantech Innovation Programme (GCIP) Nigeria is inviting applications from innovative clean-tech SMEs and startups across Nigeria. The initiative aims to support high-potential enterprises with competition-based funding and post-accelerator support to scale impactful solutions in sustainability and green innovation.
Selected businesses will receive support in key areas such as business growth, commercialization, investment readiness, market expansion, and technology development, helping them strengthen operations and increase their environmental and social impact.
Eligible Innovation Categories (Lots)
Applicants must select one category that best fits their solution:
- Energy Efficiency Innovations
- Waste Beneficiation
- E-Mobility Innovations
- Renewable Energy
- Green Buildings
- Advanced Materials & Chemicals
Who Can Apply
- Clean-tech SMEs (preferably 0–5 years old)
- Businesses that have participated in incubation or acceleration programmes
- Startups with evidence of traction, innovation, and scalability
- Women-led and youth-led enterprises are strongly encouraged
Required Documents
Eligibility Documents
- CAC registration certificate
- Tax Identification Number (TIN)
- Proof of incubation with a recognized hub
- Financial statements (up to 3 years, signed by a Chartered Accountant)
- Sworn affidavit (covering legal and compliance declarations)
- Board resolution or power of attorney
- Two professional reference letters
- Official company cover letter
Business & Supporting Documents
- Business plan and model
- Demand assessment report
- Proof of intellectual property (if available)
- Regulatory or compliance certifications
- Sustainability/impact reports
- Additional documents supporting claims
What the Grant Covers
Funding can be used for:
- Scaling operations (manufacturing, equipment, logistics)
- Regulatory approvals and certifications
- Product development and prototyping
- Marketing, branding, and customer acquisition
Application Process

Important Notes
- Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered
