Call for Applications: Youth Technical Experts (Africa-Wide Opportunity)
The African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM), in collaboration with YouLead Africa and Restless Development, is inviting applications for 20 Youth Technical Experts from across Africa to support a landmark continental initiative.
This opportunity is part of the African Youth Charter @20 appraisal, marking 20 years of the African Youth Charter. The initiative aims to assess how the Charter has been implemented across African Union Member States and identify gaps, progress, and opportunities for strengthening youth inclusion in governance and development.
Selected experts will lead participatory, evidence-based assessments, working closely with continental stakeholders to evaluate youth engagement in governance, economic development, peacebuilding, and policy responsiveness. The findings will contribute to a continental policy brief and inform the Africa Governance Report 2027.
Participants will gain hands-on experience in policy analysis, research, and stakeholder engagement while contributing to high-level continental dialogue. They will also receive mentorship, capacity-building training, and the opportunity to have their work published and presented during International Youth Day 2026.
