The Role:
Are you a passionate and experienced professional in poultry management with a strong desire to empower farmers? Babban Gona is seeking a dedicated Poultry Trainer to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be instrumental in providing practical, on-the-ground training to our farmer members, equipping them with essential skills to improve their poultry operations and livelihoods.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver practical, hands-on training sessions to Babban Gona members on various aspects of poultry management.
• Provide expert guidance on brooding techniques for young chicks.
• Educate farmers on optimal feeding regimes to ensure healthy bird growth and productivity.
• Train members on effective vaccination protocols and disease prevention strategies.
• Monitor and support farmers in implementing best practices in their poultry farms.
• Work actively in the field, engaging directly with farmers in rural communities.
Requirements:
• Education: A Degree or HND in any field. A background in Animal Science or a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) qualification is a significant advantage.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of practical, hands-on experience in poultry management.
• Language: Fluency in Hausa is essential for effective communication with our farmer members.
• Work Ethic: Willingness and ability to work actively and extensively in the field.
• Passion: A genuine passion for poultry management and a desire to support agricultural development.
