Apply to the fully funded Mustapha Abdullahi Energy Leadership Fellowship
The APC National Youth Wing has announced the Mustapha Abdullahi Energy Leadership Fellowship, a fully funded residential programme designed to equip young Nigerian professionals with the skills and knowledge needed to drive the country’s clean energy transition.
This prestigious fellowship is open to Nigerians between the ages of 18 and 40 who are passionate about renewable energy and sustainable development. It aims to build the next generation of energy leaders by providing advanced training in key areas such as solar, wind, and hydro technologies, as well as energy policy, economics, and climate governance.
Participants will benefit from a world-class curriculum delivered by industry experts and top policymakers. The programme goes beyond classroom learning by incorporating practical experiences such as field inspections, project implementation, and a high-level national crisis simulation designed to test leadership and decision-making abilities in real-world scenarios.
One of the major highlights of the fellowship is access to elite mentorship, professional certification, and the opportunity to pitch innovative ideas. Fellows will present their most impactful energy solutions, with outstanding projects competing for up to N10,000,000 in seed funding to support commercialization and real-world execution.
The initiative is positioned as a strategic national intervention to bridge the gap between technical expertise, policy development, and climate finance, ultimately accelerating sustainable energy growth in Nigeria and across Africa.
The programme will conclude with the Mustapha Abdullahi Award for Best Projects, where top-performing fellows will receive funding and recognition for scalable, high-impact solutions in the energy sector.
