🤖 About the ANTICIPA Project
ANTICIPA is an innovative initiative that uses Artificial Intelligence to improve humanitarian response. By combining community-sourced data with formal datasets, the platform delivers real-time insights, risk analysis, and decision support through user-friendly tools like chatbots.
🧑💼 Role Overview
The Intern Liaison will act as a bridge between communities and humanitarian stakeholders, supporting the implementation and adoption of the ANTICIPA platform in Sokoto. The role involves community engagement, training, data collection, and technical support.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
- Support community sensitization and mobilization activities
- Assist users in registering and using the chatbot platform
- Conduct outreach (door-to-door, group sessions, demonstrations)
- Troubleshoot basic technical issues and escalate when necessary
- Support data collection and community-based reporting
- Assist in training community leaders and stakeholders
- Contribute to engagement strategies and capacity-building initiatives
🎓 Requirements
Education:
- Degree or final-year student in relevant fields (e.g., International Relations, Data Science, Computer Science, Humanitarian Studies)
Experience:
- At least 1 year experience in the humanitarian sector (preferably in Sokoto)
- Experience with NGOs, UN agencies, or community engagement is an advantage
Languages:
- Fluent in English
- Proficiency in Hausa and Fulfulde
Skills:
- Strong analytical and data management skills
- Familiarity with digital tools, chatbots, or AI platforms
- Understanding of humanitarian systems and coordination
- Good communication and community engagement abilities
