Position: Data Privacy Officer
Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Data Privacy Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing policies and ensuring our company’s compliance with data protection laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement data privacy policies and procedures.
• Monitor compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Conduct regular data protection impact assessments.
• Serve as the point of contact for data protection authorities and data subjects.
• Investigate and respond to data breaches and privacy incidents.
• Keep abreast of changes to data protection laws and update policies accordingly.
• Maintain records of data processing activities.
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure data privacy measures are integrated into all business processes.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) or similar certification preferred.
• 4-6 years proven experience in a data privacy or compliance role.
• In-depth knowledge of data protection laws and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
