ABOUT MECOMHEDI
Media Communication for Health and Development Initiative (MECOMHEDI) is a women-led and youth-led NGO based in Maiduguri, Borno State. The organization works to improve the lives of vulnerable populations through humanitarian and development interventions, using evidence-based communication to promote positive behaviour and amplify community voices.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Interested candidates should possess the following:
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in Child Protection (CP), Gender-Based Violence (GBV), or Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH), preferably in the humanitarian, development, or nonprofit sector.
- Basic understanding of programme processes.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Commitment to humanitarian principles, professionalism, integrity, and respect for diversity.
WHAT THE VOLUNTEER ROLE OFFERS
Practical experience in the humanitarian and development sector.
Professional skills development and exposure to NGO programme operations.

IMPORTANT NOTE
This is a voluntary position for 6 months and does not constitute salaried employment.
