ABOUT THE ROLE

Missions 1 is seeking a committed and organised Associate Project Officer to coordinate and manage assigned projects from planning through completion.

Working under the guidance of the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will coordinate project activities, stakeholders, and resources, monitor progress, and help ensure projects are delivered effectively and on schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Applicants should have:

• A bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience in project implementation, programme coordination, or stakeholder engagement.
• Experience preferably within the nonprofit, development, missions, or social impact sector.
• A demonstrated commitment to the Gospel, missions, and serving underserved communities.
• Strong planning, organisational, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Experience with budgets, data analysis, and basic monitoring and evaluation (M&E).
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management tools. Knowledge of Asana is an advantage.
• Experience in proposal writing, partnership documentation, impact assessment, or project reporting is an added advantage.
• Hausa or other local language proficiency and willingness to travel, including to hard-to-reach communities, are desirable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate assigned projects from planning to completion.
• Manage project activities, stakeholders, and resources.
• Monitor project progress and support timely delivery.
• Assist with budgets, data analysis, and monitoring and evaluation.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships and support partnerships.
• Contribute to project documentation, reporting, and impact assessment.
