Dear members,
UNDRR have opened a call for submissions to the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction (IDDRR) 2024 campaign “Empowering the next generation for a disaster-free future”. The campaign is aimed at inspiring and engaging children and youth on disaster risk reduction worldwide.
You’re invited to share your organisation’s good practices in engaging children and youth on disaster resilience. These can include policies that embed children and youth in DRR education and decision making, educational materials, lesson plans, evacuation planning, games, competitions etc.
Successful submissions will be included into the IDDRR campaign toolkit and shared with the schools and educators to inspire IDDRR events around the world.
The submission deadline is 7 May 2024.
