ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP
INTERPOL’s Internship Programme provides students and recent graduates from its 196 member countries with practical experience in an international organization.
Interns gain exposure to international police cooperation, project activities, event organization and a multicultural, multidisciplinary working environment.
INTERNSHIP ALLOWANCE
EUR 700 per month
Transport subsidy: EUR 30 per month
Eligible interns may receive an additional housing subsidy of EUR 170 per month.
HEALTH INSURANCE
Interns must have health insurance coverage throughout the internship. Eligible interns may request enrolment in INTERPOL’s health insurance coverage at no additional cost.
PRIMARY DUTIES
The selected intern will support the Global Outreach & Regional Support Directorate by:
- Assisting with processing, typing and formatting correspondence and documentation.
- Supporting the preparation and organization of international meetings and conferences.
- Preparing agendas, programmes and participant lists.
- Assisting delegates during meetings and conferences.
- Supporting project-related activities and reporting.
- Participating in meetings and conferences when required.
- Taking notes and preparing useful feedback and information for the manager or directorate.
- Providing linguistic assistance where required.
- Assisting with statistical information, reports and charts.
- Performing other duties assigned by the supervisor.
LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES
The internship provides exposure to:
- Managing multiple tasks from different directions.
- Working with different languages.
- Event organization and minute-taking.
- Project activities and the project life cycle.
- Microsoft Office tools.
ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must:
- Be a national of one of INTERPOL’s 196 member countries.
- Have attained the legal age of majority in their country of nationality.
- Be enrolled in, or have graduated within the past one year from, a post-secondary accredited academic institution.
- Have an academic background in Business Administration, International Relations, Information Technology or Law.
- Have professional fluency in English and Arabic.
- Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
- Demonstrate initiative and the ability to work in a multicultural team.
A Master’s degree is an asset.
Knowledge of another INTERPOL official language, particularly French or Spanish, is considered an asset.

SECURITY CLEARANCE
Selected candidates will undergo confidentiality vetting.
Candidates may be required to provide certificates of non-criminal records from their country of nationality and any country where they have resided for more than 12 months during the previous five years.
