Gaya Polytechnic, established in 2025 by the Kano State Government, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for academic and non-academic positions.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications vary according to the position and include Bachelor’s degrees, Master’s degrees, PhDs, HNDs and relevant professional certifications.

Some positions require substantial post-qualification cognate experience, while professional positions require registration or membership with the appropriate professional body.

Examples include:

Medical Officer I: MBBS, registration with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria and NYSC discharge/exemption certificate.

Chief Nurse: Nigerian Registered Nurse certificate with the required cognate experience.

Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist: relevant Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science with professional registration and required experience.

Director ICT: relevant Bachelor’s degree/HND or postgraduate qualification with extensive relevant experience and professional membership.

Engineering and built-environment positions: relevant professional qualifications and registration as applicable.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

Applicants should prepare:

1. Twenty copies of the typed application letter.

2. Detailed current CV not exceeding four pages.

3. Educational certificates and relevant credentials.

4. Birth Certificate, Age Declaration or NPC Age Registration.

5. NYSC Discharge, Exemption or Exclusion Certificate.

6. Evidence of computer training where applicable.

7. Evidence of membership of relevant professional bodies.

8. Valid government-approved identification.

9. Medical Certificate of Fitness from a government hospital.

10. Two passport-sized photographs.

CVs should include personal information, academic qualifications, professional experience, employment records, publications where applicable, professional memberships, computer training, extracurricular activities and details of three referees.

This advertisement cancels and supersedes the earlier Circular No. 1/2026 referenced HCS/MIS/S/359/V.1/5 dated 26 January 2026 concerning deployment of staff to the newly established Polytechnic.
