Position: Commercial Relationship Management Officer
Job Type: Full-Time
Qualification: BA/BSc/HND
Experience: 3–8 years
About the Role
The Commercial Relationship Management Officer (RMO) is part of the sales team responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, identifying business opportunities, and driving revenue growth across commercial and retail segments.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Management
- Execute branch commercial sales strategies based on local market conditions
- Drive customer acquisition and grow business volumes
- Cross-sell bank products and services effectively
- Maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Conduct presentations and client visits to promote offerings
- Collaborate with marketing to align sales efforts
- Turn service recovery into business opportunities
Risk Management
- Assess lending risks in line with the bank’s risk appetite
- Ensure strict adherence to KYC and compliance policies
- Analyze collateral and loan documentation
- Resolve customer complaints efficiently
- Maintain complete and valid portfolio documentation
Financial Management
- Analyze financial statements and cash flow forecasts
- Evaluate loan applications and creditworthiness
- Support growth in deposits, loans, and overdrafts
Customer Service
- Maintain high service delivery standards
- Resolve complaints and prevent recurrence
- Provide tailored financial solutions to clients
People Management
- Work collaboratively with team members
- Promote a positive and high-performance culture
- Demonstrate leadership and uphold company values
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of a First Degree in any discipline
- 3–8 years relevant experience (Sales/Marketing preferred)
- Professional certification (e.g., CIBN) is an added advantage
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Digitally savvy with strategic thinking ability
- Excellent problem-solving and customer service orientation
- Ability to lead and work effectively in a team
