A professional opportunity is open in Kano for an experienced travel industry specialist to join Misk Al-Khitam Nigerian Limited as a Senior Travel Consultant & Ticketing Officer.
This role is designed for someone who already understands the rhythm of the travel business — fast decisions, accurate bookings, and consistent client satisfaction. It is not an entry-level position. It requires experience, confidence, and precision.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in flight reservations, ticketing, and travel coordination, with at least five years of hands-on experience in the travel and tourism industry. Daily responsibilities revolve around managing client bookings, handling airline reservations, processing tickets, issuing invoices, and ensuring smooth end-to-end travel arrangements.
Technical competence is essential. Proficiency in Amadeus and other airline reservation systems is a core requirement, alongside strong computer literacy and the ability to work efficiently with digital booking platforms.
Beyond systems and processes, this role is also client-facing. The consultant will be expected to handle customer inquiries professionally, respond promptly, and convert travel requests into confirmed bookings and sales. Strong communication skills are therefore critical, as well as the ability to build trust and maintain long-term client relationships.
The work environment is fast-paced. Pressure is part of the job. The ability to manage multiple bookings, deadlines, and operational tasks without losing accuracy is key to success in this position.
Strong English language proficiency is required, and prior experience in a travel agency environment is highly preferred. Candidates who are already familiar with airline operations, pricing structures, and ticketing workflows will have a clear advantage.
