Role Summary

The Project Officer will lead engagement and collaboration with state and local government stakeholders and oversee the implementation of project activities in Niger State. The role includes supporting partnerships with relevant agencies, coordinating project activities, preparing reports and presentations, conducting data-driven analysis, and supporting collaboration with federal-level stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead engagement with state and LGA stakeholders to ensure smooth project implementation

• Coordinate project activities, timelines, budgets, and milestones at state and local levels

• Organize meetings, workshops, trainings, and stakeholder engagements

• Support collaboration with key institutions, including the Niger State Primary Health Care Development Agency

• Prepare project documentation, reports, and presentations

• Support data collection, analysis, and reporting to guide project decisions

• Contribute to monitoring, evaluation, and learning activities

• Represent the project in relevant state-level meetings and forums

Qualifications

• Degree in Public Health, Geography, Geomatics, International Development, Social Sciences, or related field

• Experience in project coordination, implementation, monitoring, and reporting

• Experience working with government agencies, communities, and partners

• Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership-building skills

• Proficiency in research, data collection, and analysis

• Excellent communication, reporting, and presentation skills

• Familiarity with Google Workspace and project management tools (Asana, Trello)

• Knowledge of geospatial technologies applied to health programs is an advantage

• Familiarity with Niger State health systems and government structures is a strong advantage
