ABOUT THE GRADUATE TRAINEE PROGRAM
Unique Botenv is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Graduate Trainee Environmental Specialist to join its environmental services team.
The programme is designed to provide practical exposure to environmental consulting, field inspections, environmental sampling, laboratory activities, environmental data analysis, compliance monitoring and technical report preparation.
It is suitable for graduates with a strong interest in Chemistry and Environmental Services who are willing to learn and develop a professional career in environmental consultancy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with environmental assessments, inspections and field studies.
- Support environmental sampling, data collection and analysis.
- Assist with laboratory activities and environmental monitoring.
- Support environmental reporting, audits and compliance documentation.
- Assist with ETP monitoring and other environmental consultancy projects.
- Prepare and maintain project records, reports and technical documentation.
- Support Environmental Specialists and project teams during client and field assignments.
- Participate in environmental inspections, sampling and site-based activities.
- Support the team in collecting and evaluating environmental information and preparing technical documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Applicants should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, Environmental Science, Science Laboratory Technology SLT, Environmental Biology, Health Education or a related field.
- Strong Chemistry-related academic background.
- NYSC completion is required.
- Computer literacy is mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and report-writing abilities.
- Ability to collect, analyse and evaluate environmental data.
- Willingness to participate in fieldwork, environmental inspections, sampling and site assignments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong interest in environmental consultancy, compliance, pollution control and sustainability.
- Previous internship or practical experience in an environmental, laboratory or related setting is an advantage.
