The Christian Health Association of Nigeria (CHAN), in partnership with UNICEF, is seeking qualified candidates for the role of State Consultant under the Zero-Dose Elimination through Routine & Outreach Immunization Transformation Project.
📍 Locations: Adamawa, Bauchi, Bayelsa, FCT, Kebbi, Lagos, Niger, Ogun, Ondo
🕒 Employment Type: Fixed-term Consultancy
📅 Duration:
- 8 months (Apr–Dec 2026): Adamawa, Bauchi, FCT, Lagos, Niger, Ogun
- 6 months (Apr–Oct 2026): Bayelsa, Kebbi, Ondo
🌍 About the Project
This initiative aims to strengthen routine immunization systems and reduce the number of zero-dose and under-immunized children across high-burden areas in Nigeria. It aligns with national and global immunization strategies, focusing on equitable access to life-saving vaccines and improved health outcomes for children.
💼 Key Responsibilities
- Lead state-level implementation of immunization programmes
- Develop and execute work plans with stakeholders
- Strengthen data systems, reporting, and M&E functions
- Coordinate trainings and capacity-building for health workers
- Engage government agencies (SPHCDA, SMoH) and partners
- Support malaria vaccine rollout (priority states)
- Represent CHAN in technical and coordination meetings
🎓 Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, or Social Sciences
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in public health programmes (immunization preferred)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and data management skills
- Experience in NGO or development sector environments
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Power BI knowledge is an advantage
