The Global Forest Watch GFW Small Grants Fund is pleased to announce its latest funding cycle aimed at bolstering the capacity of civil society organizations across Africa. This initiative is specifically designed to support efforts in reducing illegal or unplanned deforestation and promoting sustainable forest management by integrating GFW data and monitoring tools into existing forest monitoring strategies.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
The Small Grants Fund seeks to empower organizations to leverage satellite technology and data analytics to protect critical ecosystems. By incorporating GFW into their workflows, selected organizations will be better equipped to detect unauthorized forest clearing and implement data driven conservation interventions.
THEMATIC FOCUS
Applications are invited from organizations working within the sectors of Environment and Forest Conservation.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
This funding opportunity is exclusively open to Civil Society Organizations CSOs.
