👉 You’ll lead and coordinate mental health & psychosocial support (MHPSS) services within MSF’s nutrition programme (ITFC/ATFC).
🎯 Key Responsibilities
🧠 Programme Management
- Plan & coordinate mental health activities
- Integrate psychosocial care into nutrition programs
- Ensure services meet MSF standards
👥 Team Leadership
- Supervise mental health staff
- Lead recruitment, training & performance evaluation
- Provide clinical supervision to counsellors
🤝 Coordination & Partnerships
- Work with:
- Ministry of Health
- NGOs & INGOs
- Community stakeholders
- Manage referral systems
💬 Patient Support
- Provide direct psychological support
- Support caregivers of malnourished children
- Conduct individual & group counselling
📊 Monitoring & Reporting
- Track data (consultations, cases, referrals)
- Prepare reports for programme evaluation
🧩 Specialized Focus (Kebbi Project)
- Mental health support for mothers/caregivers of malnourished children
- Integration into:
- ITFC (Inpatient Therapeutic Feeding Centre)
- ATFC (Ambulatory Therapeutic Feeding Centre)
- Community outreach & awareness
- Pilot Play Therapy intervention for children
