POSITION: State Coordinator
ABOUT THE ROLE
ACE Charity is recruiting a State Coordinator to support the implementation, monitoring, coordination, and reporting of programme activities at the state level.
The successful candidate will help translate approved programme workplans into actionable activities, track implementation progress, coordinate with programme teams and partners, and support engagement with government institutions and other key stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Programme Implementation
Support the implementation of approved programme activities at state level.
Translate programme workplans into actionable activities, timelines, and implementation priorities.
Support programme teams in ensuring activities are implemented according to agreed plans and objectives.
- Programme Monitoring
Monitor programme activities against agreed targets, milestones, and timelines.
Track implementation progress and identify gaps, delays, challenges, and bottlenecks.
Support teams in addressing implementation challenges and following up on outstanding actions.
- Activity and Deliverable Tracking
Track programme activities, deliverables, milestones, and implementation progress.
Coordinate follow-up across programme teams and implementing partners.
Maintain accurate records of programme activities and ensure that agreed actions are followed through.
- Stakeholder Coordination
Support engagement and coordination with state government institutions, health facilities, implementing partners, and other programme stakeholders.
Maintain effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders.
Support meetings, programme reviews, coordination activities, and other stakeholder engagements as required.
- Programme Data and Reporting
Support the collection, compilation, and review of programme data.
Ensure programme information is complete, consistent, accurate, and available on time for programme reviews.
Support performance tracking, reporting, documentation, and programme learning.
- Programme Performance
Monitor programme performance against agreed objectives and targets.
Identify implementation trends, gaps, and areas requiring additional attention.
Provide timely updates to programme teams and relevant stakeholders on implementation progress.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Project Management, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or relevant postgraduate qualification is required/preferred as stated in the vacancy.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant professional experience in programme implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
- Demonstrated experience supporting programmes at state or subnational level.
- Experience coordinating multiple activities, teams, partners, or stakeholders.
- Fluency in English and Hausa.
- Ability to communicate effectively with government institutions, health facilities, implementing partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Experience in programme monitoring, performance tracking, reporting, and data management.
- Experience working on donor-funded or multi-partner programmes is an advantage.
