Role Overview
ACE Strategy and Consults is implementing the Independent Verification of Integrated Supportive Supervision (IVISS) across selected health facilities in Kaduna and Kano States. The organization seeks Independent Verification Personnel to ensure credible and impartial assessments of health facility supervision visits.
The role involves conducting facility assessments, validating supervisory checklists, reviewing business and financial records, providing on-site coaching, and submitting high-quality data and reports.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Deployment (March 2026)
- Complete training on ODK tools, checklists, data quality, and mentorship approaches
- Review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and pass pre-deployment assessment
Field Operations (March – April 2026)
- Finalize health facility visit schedule and share with the ACE central team
- Pilot and adapt IVISS checklists into ODK-based questionnaires
- Confirm supervisory visits occurred by reviewing logs
- Assess facility readiness, commodities, financial and data registers
- Provide real-time coaching to facility staff
- Conduct Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) with stakeholders
- Coordinate with IVISS state consultants for real-time support
- Ensure gender sensitivity, confidentiality, and respect for local contexts
Data Management and Reporting (March – April 2026)
- Validate data quality and completeness before submission
- Participate in daily/weekly debriefs with the ACE team
- Submit a final comprehensive report covering methodology, findings, mentorship outcomes, and recommendations
Qualifications & Requirements
- Clinical background: Degree or diploma in Nursing, Public Health, or related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in health data collection, supervision, or facility assessments
- Proficiency in ODK or similar mobile data collection tools
- Experience conducting KIIs
- Ability to provide on-site coaching and mentorship
- Fluency in English and Hausa
- Familiarity with Kaduna & Kano health systems and local health landscape
- Experience with ACE or similar programs in Northern Nigeria is an advantage
