JOB OBJECTIVE
The Driver will be responsible for operating EHA Clinics vehicles and providing safe, reliable and professional transportation services.
The successful candidate will transport employees and other authorised individuals, support campaign activities, drive patients in ambulances where required, provide transportation for projects and airport movements, and support distribution runs and official errands.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Driver will ensure compliance with company regulations, internal policies and established safety guidelines.
The successful candidate will transport employees and other individuals safely and responsibly as directed.
The role will involve maintaining pick-up and drop-off schedules and travelling between company worksites when required.
The Driver will inspect assigned vehicles before use to ensure they are in safe and proper working condition.
The successful candidate will report vehicle damage, mechanical problems and safety concerns promptly and provide recommendations for necessary repairs.
The Driver will keep assigned vehicles clean, properly maintained and in acceptable condition at all times.
The role also requires routine vehicle checks and compliance with applicable traffic laws and company policies relating to mobile phone use, smoking and prohibited equipment while on duty.
The Driver is expected to immediately report safety, security and driving incidents to the appropriate supervisor where possible and maintain a professional, respectful and friendly attitude when dealing with management, colleagues, patients and other individuals.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates should have completed secondary school and possess the relevant certificates or licences required to operate vehicles.
Applicants should have basic knowledge of automobile repair and vehicle maintenance.
Previous experience working as a chauffeur or driver is required or considered relevant.
Candidates should have good knowledge of local streets, routes and major destinations in Kano.
Applicants should also be able to understand written and spoken instructions relevant to the position.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
Monthly Gross Salary: NGN 98,000
