Roadmap for Women and Youth Development (RAWYOD), a youth-led humanitarian organization focused on protecting the rights of women, youth, and children, is currently recruiting for two key positions under a UNICEF-supported emergency response programme in Borno State, Nigeria.

1. WASH Officer

The WASH Officer will support the implementation of emergency Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) interventions in crisis-affected and hard-to-reach communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate WASH activities such as water chlorination, sanitation rehabilitation, hygiene promotion, and NFI distribution
  • Monitor water quality and ensure compliance with SPHERE and UNICEF standards
  • Support cholera prevention and outbreak response (including CATI teams)
  • Conduct rapid WASH assessments and field monitoring
  • Engage with communities, stakeholders, and WASH sector partners

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health, Engineering, Public Health, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in emergency WASH programming
  • Strong skills in coordination, reporting, and community engagement
  • Ability to work in insecure and remote locations

2. Nutrition Officer

The Nutrition Officer will support emergency nutrition interventions targeting vulnerable populations, particularly in hard-to-reach LGAs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement CMAM, MUAC screening, OTP services, and MIYCN counselling
  • Support mobile nutrition services and management of acute malnutrition
  • Conduct community sensitization and strengthen support groups
  • Monitor programme data, reporting, and quality assurance
  • Collaborate with health authorities and humanitarian partners

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health, Nursing, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in humanitarian nutrition programming
  • Experience with CMAM, MUAC, OTP, and MIYCN
  • Strong communication, reporting, and coordination skills
