Internship opportunity at MECOMHEDI
Media Communication for Health and Development Initiative (MECOMHEDI) is a youth-led and women-led, impact-driven non-profit and non-governmental organization committed to empowering communities through the transformative power of media and communication. We work to address critical humanitarian and development challenges, with a strong focus on issues affecting women and children, while promoting sustainable development and healthier living.
Since commencing operations in 2019, MECOMHEDI has
supported internally displaced persons (IDPs), returnee populations, and
vulnerable host communities by complementing the efforts of humanitarian
partners and stakeholders. Our interventions span key thematic areas including
education in emergencies, child protection, gender-based violence prevention
and response, health and nutrition, communication for development,
peacebuilding and conflict resolution, as well as the software components of
Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WaSH).
