IITA Graduate Internship Program
The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is currently recruiting for the role of Social Media & Communications Intern at its Ibadan location. The Social Media & Communications Intern will support the institute’s communications team by assisting in the planning and execution of social media strategies across platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, and X. The role involves creating and editing engaging written, visual, and multimedia content, as well as monitoring audience engagement and compiling basic performance reports.
In addition, the intern will help document events and project activities, while maintaining organized media files and content archives. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a collaborative environment.
To be eligible, applicants must be recent graduates in Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field. Candidates should have basic knowledge of social media platforms, strong writing and editing skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Familiarity with graphic design tools like Canva or Adobe software is an added advantage.
