Action Against Hunger is recruiting qualified candidates for the position of ICT Officer in Damaturu, Yobe State, Nigeria. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day ICT support, network administration, equipment management, data security, and communication services for the office and sub-bases.

Key Responsibilities

The ICT Officer will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and monitoring network resources for the Damaturu office and sub-bases. The role will also involve providing user support, managing network access, backups, ICT accounts, and guiding staff on basic ICT tools and the GLPI ticketing system.

The officer will manage ICT equipment and accessories, including allocation, loans, asset tracking, maintenance, inventory, and documentation. They will also support the procurement and installation of ICT equipment and coordinate repairs with external technicians or the Capital Office.

Other responsibilities include maintaining data security, installing and updating antivirus software and applications, managing backups through OneDrive, NAS, and external drives, supporting information systems deployment, and maintaining CCTV systems and footage backups.

The successful candidate will also manage GSM lines and communication services, monitor internet, satellite, and radio services, conduct ICT inductions and user training, and provide timely technical assistance to staff across the office and sub-bases.

Requirements

Candidates should possess:

• A Bachelor’s degree or HND in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional ICT certifications and/or relevant training.
• At least 3 years of experience in similar ICT responsibilities.
• Previous experience with NGOs, particularly international NGOs, will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, reporting, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within diverse, multi-site teams.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Fluency in English.
