This is a three-month hybrid accelerator program designed for growth-stage technology startups across Africa. The program leverages Google’s products, people, and technology to support startup growth through mentorship, technical guidance, and hands-on workshops.
Program Overview
- Cohorts: Each cohort consists of 10-15 startups working together to address technical challenges.
- Format: A mix of remote and in-person learning, including 1-to-1 mentorship, group sessions, and sprint projects.
- Expert Support: Founders work with Google and industry experts to solve technical challenges and accelerate business growth.
- Deep Dives & Workshops: Focused sessions on product design, customer acquisition, and leadership development.

- Early Access to AI Products: Participants receive Early Access Program and Trusted Tester benefits for Google AI products.
- Google Cloud Credits: Eligible startups can apply for cloud credits to support growth.
- Cloud TPUs: Free access to Cloud TPUs for accelerating open-source machine learning research.
Eligibility Criteria
- Startups must demonstrate traction, ideally at a growth stage.
- Building a scalable product or service with a significant total addressable market and defensible growth model.
- Deeply technical, preferably leveraging technologies such as machine learning and AI.
- Commitment from CTO or technical team members to participate in all program sessions.
- Google encourages applications from all qualified startups to build diverse accelerator classes.
