EMPLOYMENT AND FUNDING STRUCTURE

• Funding Level: All PhD positions are 100% fully funded according to the TVöD E13 salary scale (the standard collective agreement for the German public service).
• Duration: The initial contract is for 3 years, with the possibility of a 1-year extension based on research progress.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
We are seeking applicants who possess:
1. A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field.
2. A strong interest in interdisciplinary research and the ability to bridge the gap between computational and natural sciences.
3. Excellent academic records and a passion for tackling global environmental and life science challenges.
4. Proficiency in English, as it is the primary language of the research program.
