To support our expanding portfolio of high-impact initiatives in Northern Nigeria, we are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Programs Manager to lead our regional operations.

Role Summary

The Programs Manager will serve as a key leadership figure within the organization, responsible for the overarching design, execution, and quality assurance of our humanitarian and developmental projects. This role requires a professional capable of managing multi-state operations (Kaduna, Gombe, and Kano) while ensuring that every intervention aligns with international best practices and donor expectations. You will lead diverse teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and ensure that HCMF’s mission translates into measurable impact on the ground.

Key Responsibilities

•  Strategic Planning: Direct the end-to-end planning and implementation of assigned programs, ensuring they meet organizational goals and timelines.

•  Regional Coordination: Harmonize project activities across Kaduna, Gombe, and Kano to ensure synergy, efficient resource allocation, and timely service delivery.

•  MEAL Oversight: Direct all Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) activities to track progress, ensure data integrity, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

•  Human Resource Management: Supervise program staff, providing technical mentorship, performance evaluations, and high-level leadership.

•  Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary liaison between the foundation and government authorities, international partners, and community traditional leaders.

•  Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all program activities comply with donor regulations and internal policies. Prepare and present high-quality analytical reports for senior management and external stakeholders.

Candidate Qualifications

•  Academic Background: A Master’s Degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, International Development, or a related field.

•  Professional Experience: Significant experience in program or project management within the NGO/Humanitarian sector, particularly in Northern Nigeria.

•  Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex budgets.

•  Communication: Exceptional reporting, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in local languages spoken in the target locations is a distinct advantage.
