Applications are now open for the Africa Artificial Intelligence Policy Fellowship 2026. This three-month fellowship offers a unique opportunity for emerging and mid-career policy professionals, lawyers, technologists, researchers, and changemakers working at the intersection of AI and public policy to advance their skills and make a tangible impact on Africa’s AI landscape.
The fellowship is flexible with remote and in-country participation across Africa. Participants will develop expertise in AI policy, regulation, and governance, engage in hands-on mentorship with experts, and contribute to shaping the continent’s AI future. This program also provides access to a growing network of African and global AI policy leaders.
Eligibility includes professionals committed to advancing AI governance, public policy, and technology ethics within Africa. Fellows will gain practical experience, mentorship, and opportunities to influence AI policy at local, national, and regional levels.
