📢 Call for Applications: Next Generation Internship Programme (NGIP) 2026

The West Africa Civil Society Institute invites applications from young professionals in Nigeria, Guinea, Niger, and Togo for its fully funded Next Generation Internship Programme (NGIP), running from July to December 2026.

This six-month internship is designed for fresh graduates and early-career professionals interested in civil society and non-profit management. Participants will gain hands-on experience in capacity development, policy influencing and advocacy, and knowledge management, while contributing to impactful regional initiatives.

Founded in 2008, NGIP aims to develop the next generation of African leaders by equipping them with practical skills in programme management, research, and policy engagement.

📍 Location:

  • Nigeria: Abuja (applicants must already reside in Abuja; no accommodation provided)
  • Guinea, Niger, Togo: Based in Accra, Ghana (fully supported)

🎓 Eligibility Criteria:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs, Political Science, Public Policy, Law, Development Studies, or related fields
  • Strong interest in civil society and non-profit work
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of English, French, or Portuguese (bilingual ability is an advantage)

💼 Key Responsibilities:

Interns will support programme implementation, research, policy development, training coordination, stakeholder engagement, and administrative tasks across WACSI’s core areas.
