We are thrilled to announce that the Local Conference of Youth (LCOY) South Africa 2024 will be hosting an in-person conference on August 2nd and 3rd, 2024.
The conference aims to explore crucial themes such as climate finance in South Africa, the just transition, and renewable energy. These discussions will inform our LCOY Statement – a “Youth Position on the Just Transition”.
Key Goals of LCOY South Africa 2024:
– Enhance youth engagement in climate policy
– Improve understanding of climate finance and the just transition
– Formulate a youth statement on the just transition ahead of COP29
